FAQs
What is the purpose of the network?
We launched ElleCap to create a network for women investing in the future of education, with a belief that building authentic relationships with each other has inherent business value in terms of shared deal flow, co-investment opportunities and other ways of advancing each other’s work.
Who is it focused on?
We include investors from around the globe and up and down the capital stack, from early stage through growth equity and buyout. Our view of education investing includes the full spectrum from early learning to workforce learning and the future of work.
How does it work and where do we connect?
We connect with each other on the backs of known gatherings, summits and conferences. Typically, we will gather for a casual lunch or coffee and promote it to the entire membership of the network. Occasionally we may organize local gatherings where we would target women in a specific metro area. We are open to service providers (e.g. law firms, consultants) sponsoring events for our membership and are always happy to entertain ideas for events from other investors.
If you’re interested in sponsoring an event, please send us an email at contact@ellecap.org.
What is involved in being part of the network?
No time commitment–really! We send out email updates which will typically focus on events and opportunities to gather either online or in person.
How can I opt out?
Email contact@ellecap.org and we will remove you from our list.
What do you do with my information if I do not opt out?
We do not share your contact information with anyone. If you wish to connect with someone in the network, you can do so via LinkedIn messaging or our network’s LinkedIn page.
